Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 September 2026
1. Acceptance
DevCut is a product of Microlent Systems Pvt. Ltd., Manohar 5th Floor, CYB-6, RIICO Cyber Park, near Saras Dairy, HI Area Phase II, Jodhpur, Rajasthan 342003, India. These Terms apply to the DevCut VS Code extension, devcut.co.in, and the DevCut backend service ("the Service"). By checking the consent box on our signup or advertiser-inquiry forms, or by using the extension, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
DevCut is a private beta, invite-only service intended for professional/hobbyist software developers and businesses advertising to them. We don't verify age. Accordingly, we don't accept ad categories that would require age verification (see §6), and the Service is not directed at children.
3. Developer terms
- You install the extension and, in exchange for viewing sponsor lines in your VS Code status bar during qualifying tasks (builds, tests, installs), accrue earnings as described on our How It Works page.
- Earnings are computed per-impression based on real dwell/viewability evidence, not simply "an ad was requested." The current mechanics (thresholds, payout batching, UPI minimums) are described on the site and may be tuned over time; we'll reflect material changes there.
- You must supply an accurate UPI ID to receive payouts. Payouts are processed via Razorpay X; delivery timing depends on that third party and your bank/UPI provider.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts, or using scripted/automated means to generate impressions or dwell signals, is a violation of these Terms (see §6) and may result in forfeited unpaid earnings and account termination.
- You can disable the extension at any time (
devcut.enabled = false), and delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
4. Advertiser terms
- Submitting the advertiser inquiry form is a request to run a campaign, not a binding purchase — we review every inquiry and confirm pricing/scheduling before any payment is collected.
- Payment is via UPI, NEFT, or bank transfer in INR, after approval. We are not currently GST-registered, so we cannot issue GST-compliant tax invoices; we'll issue a plain invoice, and update this section once registration is complete.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your ad copy, destination URL, and any claims made in your ad. We reserve the right to reject or pull any ad that violates §6 or otherwise damages the Service's integrity.
- See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how unspent budget is handled.
5. Acceptable use
Use the Service only for its intended purpose: legitimate developer-facing advertising (advertisers) and genuine, human, attentive use of the extension in the ordinary course of your own development work (developers).
6. Prohibited activities
- Gambling, adult content, or speculative crypto/NFT advertising (we run no age verification, so we don't accept categories that would need one).
- Misleading, spam-like ads, or ads unrelated to developers' professional interests.
- Scripted, bot-driven, or otherwise artificial generation of impressions, clicks, or dwell signals.
- Creating multiple developer accounts to multiply earnings, or sharing a single payout (UPI) identity across accounts to evade per-account limits.
- Attempting to access, probe, or disrupt the backend API, admin panel, or any other user's account or data (unauthorized access, scraping, injection attempts, etc.).
- Reverse-engineering the Service to defeat its fraud-detection or payment-integrity mechanisms.
Violations may result in warnings, ad rejection/removal, forfeiture of fraudulently-obtained unpaid earnings, suspension, or termination, at our discretion, proportionate to the violation.
7. Intellectual property
The DevCut name, logo, and extension/server source code are owned by Microlent Systems Pvt. Ltd. or licensed to it; the server and extension source are published under an open-source license — see the project repository for the exact license terms, which govern your rights to copy, modify, or self-host that code, separately from these Terms. Advertisers retain all rights in the logos, copy, and trademarks they submit, and grant us a limited license to display them solely to run the requested campaign.
8. User-submitted content
Advertiser-submitted ad copy, logos, and destination URLs are the advertiser's responsibility — you warrant you have the right to use and publish them, and that they don't infringe any third party's trademark, copyright, or other rights. We may remove content that we reasonably believe infringes such rights.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account for violation of §6, non-payment (advertisers), or if required by law. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Termination does not forgive money already owed by either party at the time of termination (e.g. settled-but-unpaid developer earnings, or advertiser budget already spent).
10. Service availability
DevCut is an early-stage private beta. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the extension, backend, or dashboard, and features/pricing/thresholds may change as the product develops. We'll try to communicate material changes on the site.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any particular earnings or advertising results will be achieved.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Microlent Systems Pvt. Ltd.'s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts actually paid or payable by you to us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or (b) ₹5,000. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (e.g. liability for fraud or willful misconduct). (This cap is a starting position, not a number verified against current Indian consumer-protection limits for your specific fact pattern — have a lawyer confirm it is enforceable as drafted.)
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Microlent Systems Pvt. Ltd. against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Jodhpur, Rajasthan (our registered office), unless a different venue is required by applicable consumer-protection law. We picked Jodhpur to match our registered office rather than naming a different city with no real connection to the business — but this clause, like §12, should get a lawyer's review before you rely on it.
15. Changes to these terms
We'll update the "Last updated" date when these Terms change, and flag material changes on our FAQ.
